US President Joe Biden has notified the US Department of Defense of the decision to select the city of Colorado Springs in the US state of Colorado as the permanent location of the Space Command headquarters, the Pentagon said.“President Biden has notified the Department of Defense that he has selected Colorado Springs as the permanent location for the headquarters of the US Space Command,” the statement reads.
It is noted that the decision of the head of the White House was supported by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, the head of the country’s air force, Frank Kendall, and the commander of the space command, James Dickinson.
